Indiana Jones

"Indiana Jones" is a franchise centered on the adventures of Dr. Henry Walton "Indiana" Jones, Jr., a fictional archaeologist. Created by George Lucas and brought to life by director Steven Spielberg and actor Harrison Ford, the character first appeared in the 1981 film "Raiders of the Lost Ark." The film, set in the 1930s, follows Jones as he embarks on a quest to find the biblical Ark of the Covenant before the Nazis can harness its power.

The success of "Raiders of the Lost Ark" led to three more films: "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" (1984), a prequel set in 1935 where Jones faces off against a cult seeking the Sankara Stones; "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" (1989), which features Jones searching for the Holy Grail with his father, played by Sean Connery; and "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" (2008), set during the Cold War, where Jones encounters Soviet agents and ancient alien artifacts.
